Chat Rules for Legend of Ares (Ingame and Discord)
Legend of Ares has rules around chat behavior in order to promote a healthy game environment. Our goal with these rules is to find that balance between allowing free expression while ensuring that interactions remain respectful. We hope these are clear and complete enough, but reserve the right to update this at any time. Note that our team will not monitor chat 24/7, so it is up to the players to report for this behavior. We will take swift action following any report that violates these rules.
1. Hate Speech and Discrimination
Any form of hate speech, including but not limited to racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia, or ableism, is strictly prohibited.
2. Personal Attacks
Harassment or repeated personal attacks against a player (think real-life insults), are strictly prohibited.
3. Explicit Sexual Content
While adult language and humor are allowed, sexually explicit content, graphic descriptions, or harassment of a sexual nature are forbidden.
4. Personal Information
Sharing personal information such as real names, addresses, phone numbers, or any other identifying details in chat is prohibited.
5. Threats and Encouragement of Self-Harm
Any form of threats (real-life or in-game) or encouragement of self-harm, suicide, or harm to others is forbidden.
6. Impersonation
Impersonating game staff, admins, or other players with the intention to deceive or manipulate is prohibited.
7. Cheating and Exploiting
Discussing or encouraging the use of cheats, hacks, or exploiting in-game bugs for unfair advantage is prohibited.
8. Constructive Feedback
Players are encouraged to provide feedback, but it must be respectful and constructive. Aggressive, toxic rants, especially toward the game, staff, or other players, will not be tolerated.
9. Advertising
Advertising of third-party products, services, or other games without permission is prohibited.
10. Mutual Respect
Discussions around sensitive topics such as politics, religion, or other polarizing subjects are allowed but should remain respectful and constructive. Hate or aggressive behavior during such discussions will not be tolerated.
How do I report a violation of these rules?
In Discord, there is a “#technical-support” channel. Inside, there is a button - “Player Behaviour Report”. This will open a private discord channel between you and the Legend of Ares support team. We ask that you provide as much information as possible and specifically what rule that this player broke, along with any screenshots you may have.
I don’t have Discord. How do I report?
You can also report the same information using our support email support@reforgix.com but it is typically much slower to get a response.
What are the punishments for violating these rules?
These rules are dependent on the platform you used to violate the rules (as in most cases, we don’t have a clear “link” between discord and the game. So we won’t attempt to duplicate it on the other platform.)
- First offense: 24 hour mute (discord or ingame. This is to serve as a warning)
- Second offense: 7 days mute (discord or ingame)
- Third offense: 14 days mute (discord or ingame)
- Fourth offense: Permanent mute (discord or ingame)
