Days become chilly and light begins to fade away. It can only mean one thing…Halloween time is here. Get your experience gains on, unlock and upgrade nightmare accessories, and don’t forget those snazzy costumes.

The Nightmare Returns

Journey forth to find the portals…wait that isn't quite right. Holy Pippin what is that thing in Etana!? Is it a portal? Is it a nightmare? Maybe it is a new form of nightmare portals.

Chauncer the Legendary Rift Closer

Chauncer the Legendary Rift Closer has kept low and waited after sealing the portals almost a year ago. During his journey to close the portals a nightmarish truth was brewing. Rifts are gateways to the spirit world where monsters dwell before finding small rifts to enter our world. Though much research was gleaned there is an anomaly with the Nightmare Rift. Something from our world harkens to the void of this realm. Strangely enough something seems to be responding. Is a new threat on the horizon? Start unraveling the mystery today.

Shishi the Murker Lurker

This strange fellow seems to be off his rocker but is goading adventurers the Nightmare Rift with the Rift Stones you need. That is - as long as you meet his price. Be sure that he is up to no good though. Shishi has information available on the rift that may be interesting to you now and in the future.

Nightmare Rift

Hurry to Etana to start your adventure into the nightmare rift. Four areas are accessible depending on your strength. However you need a Rift Stone each time you venture into these rifts. Residents report a bizarre being inside etana near the west wall. Start your investigation there for Rift Stones.

Hallowed Wares

The Legendary Chauncer came prepared with an assortment of accessories and costumes poised to enhance your powers. The problem is that the old man isn’t particularly smitten with money. Instead he has an insatiable appetite for pumpkins. Get the old man fed and he’ll start passing out the wares. Don’t be shy about collecting the accessories! You can combine all nightmare accessories into a higher bless. Nightmare accessories cap at +3!

Blessing Requirements

• +1 requirements to merge takes two of the same base accessories together.
• +2 requirements to merge takes four of the same base accessories to merge
• +3 requirements to merge tajes eight of the same base accessories to merge
• Example: To make a +2 Nightmare Belt you will need four (4) Nightmare Belts 

Into the ELITEs

The final zone is an elite zone for all the monsters you have encountered thus far and provide adequate challenges for those more inclined to party play. Beware not to overstretch yourself. Decide for yourself how this mystery of this ELITE dungeon will unfold if you spot the mysterious force. What horrors will come after Halloween is over?

Trick-or-Treat candies

Rumor has it that mischievous spirits have slipped sweet confections into the pockets of monsters across the realm. Defeat any creature and you might just find one of five enchanted candies in your loot. Each carries a fleeting burst of sugary power—perfect for adventurers with a sweet tooth for battle. Collect them all and let the sugar rush fuel your Halloween hunt!

Ares Grants You His Strength

The god of war himself has turned his gaze upon the mortal realm. To aid those brave enough to challenge the Nightmare Rift, Ares bestows his blessing of endurance. Throughout the event, all adventurers will feel his might as their burdens lighten—granting an additional +1000 maximum weight capacity. Carry your spoils proudly, for Ares walks beside you in battle against the nightmares.

The Fading of the Event

All things born of nightmares must eventually fade. When the final bell tolls and the rifts fall silent, the magic sustaining these eerie treasures will wane. All event items—including candies, costumes, and nightmare accessories—will vanish one week after the event concludes. Enjoy their power while you can, for when the darkness lifts… only memories (and perhaps a lingering chill) will remain.
